Wheels on the car go…

Yes, I’m logging the road trip under my “other category” as 17 hours of sitting on my rear end. I didn’t even drive the car. I sat. I listened to The Nanny Diaries on I-Pod. I talked to the dog. I tuned the Rhapsody player & I-Pod now & again as we lost our signals. […]

Earning my cupcakes

Almost didn’t go to yoga, but I know with the road trip ahead I’d be pretty bummed with myself if I didn’t make class. So, I made it & earned the free cupcake from earlier today. The class was a II-III Flow with a teacher I hadn’t had in a while. It was a great […]

Free food free-for-all

I love food. I love healthy food. I love junk food. As long as its tasty, I probably love it.
And…
I’m weak. I’m surprised as I child I wasn’t lured into a scary van by somebody offering candy. Today, if there had been a van involved, I’d probably be on an Amber alert by now (wait, do […]

Useless Dusty Tornados

One of my neighbors is getting their house ready to put up for sale. They’re downsizing. Part of getting ready was hiring, what we call in the landscaping trade, a mow blow & go land-scraping company. This is a company that may or may not be licensed and insured. They may or may not pay […]

Groin, Yoga & Acupuncture

Recently, I’ve noticed that I’m getting daily traffic from Google searches on the subject of groin injuries relating to yoga and acupuncture. I thought I’d try to make it easy for the information seekers to find some answers, so here goes.
If you read more of my blog, you’ll find out that earlier this summer I […]

Yoga Humor

I take my yoga seriously, but not that seriously. A friend in yoga mentioned “The Inappropriate Yoga Guy” video on Saturday. I just watched it with Bob. It doesn’t get much funnier than this.
Along the same lines is Buddha Berry. Not as funny (to me) as Inappropriate but still funny.
Sorry…you’ll have to follow links to […]

How to Become a Bird of Paradise

Tonight was the best yoga class I’ve had in a long time. My injuries are subsiding, and I don’t feel like I need to back off. Just the opposite — I need to go deeply into the poses. Tonight I was ON! My breathing was steady, my attitude was right, and my body was cooperative. […]

Walk with Shiloh

Gosh it felt great to get out with Shiloh for a “normal” walk. Now I’m off to Hatha Yoga class & then dinner with friends at a pub after. I plan to earn a celebratory beer sweating it out in class today! I’m feeling back on track.

Last Thoughts on August’s Sustainable Pledge

“Hi, I’m Robin & I’m not a 100% sustainable. Where’s the coffee?”
If you’ve been reading my blog this month, you know that I signed up to try to consume locally produced food for the month of August. If you’ve been reading consistently, you know that I tried pretty hard in the beginning and learned a lot. […]
