Walk

Shiloh and I had a nice walk in the sun this afternoon. We haven’t gotten out much together lately, so I took a few moments while it was nice and while I was restless between projects to walk. Now I feel focused. Shiloh is snoozing. Good all around!

Took a mid-day walk with Shiloh on Monday in the sunshine. I took several days off from yoga to let my body recover. Got a massage, acupuncture and went to a spa over the weekend to add to the relaxation. I think things are back on track. Have several pruning clients this week, but I think I’m ready to get back to that as well as back to yoga this week. I’m going from relaxed to antsy, so its definitely time.

Oh, and we got about 4 tons of crushed rock delivered, so laying in the front patio is coming soon! I can’t wait for it to be done!

Today is the first day in many that I haven’t had hands-on training appointments with at least one client. After a hot, salt bath, I crashed early and hard last night, sleeping almost 11 hours. And, I needed it! Today my hands and arms aren’t feeling completely worn out & I’m much more alert. Today, I’m taking it easy, doing office work instead of gardening work. In some areas I’m even getting caught up!

When the sun broke out a little while ago, Shiloh and I went for a quick walk around the neighborhood. It looks like storm clouds are making their way back in, so I’m glad we got out when we did!

I had two hands-on gardening sessions today, so I got a lot of walking around, squatting, lifting and pruning in during that time. My upper body is a bit sore. I’m sort of torn about how to balance yoga in these days. I know I need it to keep my mental balance and to keep my entire body strong and flexible, but I need to hold back a bit on some of the intense yoga shoulder work since I’m working my shoulders and upper arms for hours & hours each day. So that’s said. I need to get changed and go to a hard yoga class in a few minutes.

Oh, and after working in client gardens all day, I just took Shiloh for a nice walk. My car told me it was 65F today by the end of my last session, and it sure felt wonderful outside. A little brisk, but sunny and warmer than in weeks past.

Now…on to yoga, perhaps taking it easy on the chatauranga tonight. I need to be ready to prune overgrown rosa rugosa tomorrow for a couple of hours!

I haven’t had time to log my walks with Shiloh since I returned from vacation, so I’m logging a few walks here. We’ve been getting out each day for our regular walks. Today, I plan to get back to yoga, and I can’t wait!

While on this vacation I have not been good about exercising. Such is the nature of running around to visit all the family and then sitting around a dining room table chatting over tea and catching up. Really, it’s been a great time, but I am jones’n for some regular yoga!

Today I went for several short walks. Each included a good hill climb, so I felt I’d done enough to log the walk. I have taken my mom and sis through a couple of easy yoga classes, but by leading I don’t really end up doing much myself. Tomorrow I’m going to make myself do a workout even if they want to join me and can’t keep up. I must get my body moving or all the red velvet cake and fried southern foods are going to weigh down the plane on my ride home next weekend!

I’m not really sure how far I walked or how long it took me, but I spent most of the day on my feet. I entertained visitors at the NW Flower & Garden Show for a few hours this morning & then walked the show for a couple of hours. Then I walked from the Convention Center to Pike’s Market for lunch. Then I walked to Belltown, with about 20lbs of material in bags from the Convention Center. It was a beautiful day, and I enjoyed myself. Now, tomorrow, I sit on my butt on a plane all day. Hopefully, I’ll be able to stretch a bit during the flight!
